the end is near to a good day. got a lot done today. had a really deep coversation with rachel this evening. rachel...don't worry, everything is gonna work out and it's all happening for a reason. perhaps the stuff we talked about will lead to the right direction that things need to start moving. regardless, i'm here every step of the way.

bioprocessing - it's on! the differences between soy and dairy milk processing
b2b - bring it on as well! SCM in the health care industry and CRM for microsoft
advertising - that can't ain't scarin' me!
stats - you scared me this past week but now it's my turn to bite back!

been to the gym 3 times this week so that was good. gonna do some cardio tomorrow. i made a ginger chicken dish for dinner tonight...it was pretty good. needed more of a sauce though. going to see the pocketdwellers tomorrow night and it's gonna be an awesome show. those guys rock!

yesterday and today so far have been great. new morning. new outlook on things i suppose. classes yesterday went well. my bioprocessing presentation at night went really well too. then, a good workout at the gym with the boys and finally...soome nice half-price appy's at east side's.

all is much better. i've put my sh*t together and now i am ready to attack the next two weeks and get all my stuff done. i have a game plan, the will and the desire to get it all done.

2 weeks tonight - WE ARE LEAVING FOR MARCH MADNESS!!! Chicago...here we come.

off to class now but gonna take a nap after.

it's pretty strage how two different days can feel so different. this past week was fantastic, culminated with the events of sunday and the happiness i felt. today on the other hand was a new day and there is definitely no more happiness. it's actually quite glum. i couldn't sleep much last night. i had a revelation. i am not happy with things right now. i don't quite know what i wanna change or what i will change but i'll do something soon. it's weird how the tide can turn so fast. i was on top of the world a day or two ago and now, i feel like i'm on the exact opposite end. school is the main problem now. that's probably the main cause for my frustration this evening. but, that is MY own fault. i can't blame anyone else. now, i've just gotta pull up my socks. ONLY two more months...I can do it. in fact, I better DO IT!!!

good night all. let's home tomorrow is a better day

words cannot begin to explain the feelings that i have this evening. i am overcome with emotion and euphoria. what a day. what a beautiful and glorious day.

CANADA - The Kings and Queens of International Hockey.

damn, that is wicked. here's a quote I found on canoe.ca that is quite amusing...

In Vancouver, fans were able to watch the game on a giant TV screen inside GM Place, the home of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks. "That was better than losing my virginity!" screamed one fan in the frenzied moments after Canada won gold.

Congratulations to the entire Canadian Olympic Team - they were all champions for the past 2 weeks and forever.

Back in Waterloo. Gotta start on the homework train tomorrow when I get up. One full week of doing absolutely nothing and now, it's gone too far. Gotta get back into the swing of things. I watched Wag the Dog tonight with the roommates. It was a pretty good movie. Pretty interesting story actually. I don't wanna give away too much in case you guys wanna see it but it is quite an interesting outlook on politics and the media.

I've been thinking about what ails the Raptors and after sitting through that debacle last night, here's what I've come up with. They are completely lacking intensity and it is actually quite scary the way they are looking. It's in their psyche that they can't win without Vince. They missed about 10 free throws. Missed 3 EASY dunks. Never once did they have an And 1 situation cause they couldn't finish when they got hacked. They got beat by Scoreless Williamson, Barry and some other no good Eurpean Centre. Stackhouse was on the bench for most of the game so he didn't do much of anything. Clifford Robinson lit up Keon for about 12 jumpshots...I don't think that Keon got the point and never once got out there to stop a jump shot. Lenny's substitions were pretty garbage once again too. Left JYD on the bench for long stretches when we could have used his defensive intensity. Childs once again made about 3 or 4 bonehead passes. Curry thought he was Nash or Kidd after one nice alley-oop pass to MoPete. After that, he made about 3 turnovers. It was nasty. Curry was guarding Stackhouse for about 3 posessions where he got absolutely schooled.

Overall, disgusting.

no heart
no intensity
no finish

Hopefully something changes soon cause they definitely have the talent to compete in their conference and this league. They've got the superstar. They've got the support and at times this season, we have seen flashes of brilliance. However, what is lacking is consistency.

Time for bed. Until next time...

One more game and Team Canada's Destiny will be met. All the men have to do is follow the brilliant lead set by the women on Thursday night. Once Sunday at 3:00 pm rolls around, the puck will be dropped and all of you that choose to watch the game will be treated to one of the greatest and most meaningful hockey games of our lifetimes. Everyone...enjoy!

Visited EXVU today. It was really good to go back and see all my old co-workers. They are all really awesome people for the most part so it was great to see them all and catch up on old times. They are all really excited for me about the new job that I've got coming but they were mostly all dissapointed as well when they found out that I wouldn't be coming back full time. Definitely, a bittersweet feeling...

Tonight, I went to the Raptors game against Detroit and I must say...that was one of the worst games I've seen the Raptors play this year. They lacked any ounce of intensity. They couldn't execute (missed two easy dunks, missed a total of about 15 free throws, played very questionable d at times). Overall, very lackluster performance and they better improve soon because they are now sitting in 6th place in the Eastern Conference...teams like Orlando and Detroit are ahead of them - how the hell has that happened?

After the game, I saw Amelie tonight with a friend. What a fantastic movie. I really liked it. We missed the first 10 minutes of the movie and the staff (kids no older than 15) at Bayview Village initially told us that we couldn't watch the movie cause they had already closed the cash boxes. But, we were able to talk them into it and they let us in. The movie was great...I had permasmile on the entire time which was a very nice feeling.

I was surfing and looking up travel stuff today for my trip. Came across this on the Lonely Planet site -

"Anyone foolish enough to accept free air-tickets and a new set of luggage from sudden friends in Bangkok deserves to be called a mule."

I'll be sure to remember that.

p.s. Michelle Kwan, you are still the best skater in my eyes even though you never won the Olympic Gold Medal.

TEAM CANADA ROCKS!!!

Congrats go out to the Gold Medal Winning Women's Ice Hockey Team. Beat the US 3 -2 despite getting called for 12 B.S. penalties. That officiating was a load of crap (to paraphrase The Great One). Also, Congrats go out to the Men's Hockey Team for the win over Finland last night. Now, all that's left is the dance with Belarus tomorrow and then hopefully, a romp over Russia or the States for the Gold Medal on Sunday at 3:00 pm. I really hope that it is a Canada-US final cause I'd love to see some American Ass get kicked again. Then again, with the stuff Russia is saying today about boycotting the rest of the games, I wouldn't mind seeing Canada beat them too!

Now, on to the last few days for me. All I can say is Snowboarding is fun and I am definitely improving so that is probably making it even more enjoyable. The last two days, I've been with Shaw, Smith, Tchao and Marty. Boarding at Mt. St. Louis Moonstone and hanging out in Orillia. Can we say Reading Week Party!!!??!? well, a party it was. we had a fantastic time boarding (i even went in the snowboard park, tried some small jumps AND tried the halfpipe) my carving is definitely improving and i am riding regular and goofy quite confidently now.

snowboarding wasn't the only thing though. there was a wicked hotel. hot tubbing. party treats. black jack at casinorama (i lost $10 but still had a good time). the Canada - Finland game on TV last night. we watched it in the bar at Casinorama and had basically the whole place to ourselves. it was actually pretty cool cause the TV we were watching on was probably 15 feet high and 25 feet across. it was HUGE. after the casino, we rode a limo back to out hotel. that's right. it's all about stylin' in orillia!

now, i've gotta go watch Michelle Kwan skate. I love her!

team canada - what ail's ya?
sale and pelletier - it was beautiful watching you on the podium tonight
simpsons - what the heck was that tonight? a little too hyped i do believe!!!!]

all in all, a fantastic day. wow...it was so relaxing and looking back on it...i pretty much did a whole lot of nothing. i got up around 11:30 (haven't gotten more than 5 hours of sleep anyday over the last week). proceeded to have lunch, then i went with suhas to Edward's Gardens. that place was absolutely packed but it was a really nice walk and the air was so brisk and refreshing. starbucks after for some warming up. back home and i made quesadillas for dinner tonight...everyone really enjoyed them and i was pretty happy with how they turned out as well. then came the night in front of the tv.

1. started with the simpsons. every day for the past week, i've been reading newspaper articles and listening to radio commentaries about the great tv broadcasting history that will be made with the simpsons come to toronto this weekend. homer and the gang are gonna visit america jr! well, let's just say that 4 minutes of airtime out of a 23 minute sitcom is pretty sad. and even sadder considering the huge deal that was being made about it...

2. team canada vs. team germany. here was canada's chance to show the world what they are truely made of. well, like friday against sweden...there were flashes of brilliance but overall, still very uninspired play and poor positioning at times. so far, they just don't look like they want it as much as some of the other teams. lat night..i watched the US - Russia 2-2 tie and must say, that was such a fast-paced exciting game. totally enjoyed it. tomorrow night - team canada vs. the chech republic should be an interesting matchup cause they are a strong team. GO CANADA GO!!!!!

3. sale and pellitier...perfect. the night was capped off beautifully when i stood in my basement and sang oh canada along with jamie sale. what a beautiful moment. totally made me fell all soft and fuzzy. and the best part was "...when a camera closed in on Sale, her grin spread a little wider and she winked... " i must say...it was absolutely beautiful.

time for bed now. gots a lot of work that i gotta start working on tomorrow. i am going to the hockey hall of fame tomrrow morning too so that will be loads of fun. seema, her dad and my dad are going...should be good times! until later.

Congratulations to the latest Canadian Gold Medal Winners!!!

Jaime Sale
David Pelltier
Catrina Lemay Doan

everyone...please kindly stand for Oh Canada.
first of all.

canada will still do well in this tournament! despite the unfortunate ass-kicking they received yesterday against sweden. they started out promising. ended on a high note but those 10 minutes in the second period...wow that was bad. they were all just standing around. and, cujo - it was not your fault so don't worry about it.

it's saturday night. i'm in my room in scarborough. just had a fantastic dinner made by mommy (pao bhaji - YUM!!!) i got home this afternoon around 3:00. tchao and i left waterloo earlier in the day after a brilliant evening yesterday.

the night fo me started around 6:00 pm. i had just finished my accounting midterm and ran home to watch the hockey game. tchao, marty, shaw, james and blair were over watching the game. the nachos were out. the beer was flowing. james took off his shirt. damn, it was a party. then, i walked in...got the update, grabbed my cc and found a spot on the couch. c-dawg walked in 10 minutes later after finishing the accounting exam and now, reading week had finally started for the two of us. the game itself was so promising but by the end, it was pretty disheartening. we watched the end of the raptors game (for which i had tickets - but sold them) after and they lost too so that was garbage. then, we found AP1 (American Pie 1) on tv and watched that. too bad the shannon elizabeth scenes were edited... the night continued with the consumption of plenty a banned substance. the night continued at revolution nightclub where ingrid and her friend sarah joined us. rev was a complete blur. it was so crowded but i still can't believe that i was there for 2 hours. it honestly felt like 30 minutes...tops! pita factory after and then off to bed. all in all a fantastic night and a great way to celebrate my last ever midterm!!! last night was definitely one of those epic partying evenings that you need every now and then.

time to go..
GO CANADA GO!!!

p.s. don't forgot - Simpson's in Toronto tomorrow night.

i'm done exams!!!

yeah. well, actually. i am done the three exam marathon but now i can look forward to two straight days of accounting studying starting this afternoon. that will be fun especially cause i've got a LOT of chapters to read. i think that we are going grocery shopping soon once the boys get back. our fridge is bear and we are really resorting...i think that i saw tchao eat sugar, lettuce and corn starch sandwich this morning. just a rumour though. can't substantiate anything.

tonight. we might be playing hockey so that will be good and tomorrow is annie's potluck and james' mystery party. damn, so much going on but so little time. next week will be good. a whole lot of sitting around and doing nothing. actually, i've got lots to do but who am i kidding, i probably won't get any of it done so whatever. i will make a good webpage though...you just wait and see. it won't be anything like these but it'll be a start...

i'm here again. loooonnnggg day at school. left the house at 9:30 am and just got back at 12:30 am. full day at both libraries! damn, that sucks. and back at it again tomorrow.

in news today. canada got robbed. damn judges gave the russian pair the gold medal instead of Jamie Sale and David Pelletier. flawless performance....and what do they get? silver. ROBBED!!!

in other news. i was mistaken yesterday when i said that the Canada-Sweden game is at 4:00 pm on Friday. That was MST and it is actually at 6:00 pm so that is awesome. my exam ends at 6:30 and i'll race home for the end of the first and the rest of the game.

friday is gonna be a great day.

can't wait much longer though.
geez, can't believe i haven't even started exams yet.
but it'll start soon and hit me hard...that is for sure.

talk to you all later,
good night.

Monday, February 11, 2002

well that was pretty frustrating...i just typed out a whole long blog only to find out that blogger.com had timed out on me so when i clicked on "post and publish", it conveniently lost all of my words.

so, where do i begin? let's see. today was semi productive. got lots of advertising done so that is good but that exam ain't till wednesday morning. i've really gotta get my head wrapped around stats tomorrow and tuesday cause that exam is tuesday night and i don't feel prepared at all. also, i've got spanish on wednesday and haven't even looked at that yet. all i know is como estas? then there is accounting at the end of the week on friday night so i can't yet see the end. but alas, there is light at the end of the tunnel....team canada's first hockey game is friday at 4:00 pm against sweden!

damn, i just realized, that coincides directly with our accounting exam (4:30 - 6:30). what are we gonna do? well, i just talked to c-dawg and we are gonna tape the game, rush home after the exam and not talk to anyone and then watch it. hopefully the surprise doesn't get ruined along the way.

tonight, i had a campus rec basketball game. i just got home from it actually. it was...how do i put this lightly? oh i can't sugarcoat it. it was a debacle! we lost huge. i would rather not even say the score to be honest. i will say that i scored the first bucket of the game though. it was a pretty sweet play if you ask me. stopped...popped and dropped from the corner. ask marty - he'll tell ya! by the way...kudos to sanj and bob tonight...played great games and were really battling at the end for boards! and bobby...awesome cartwheel at the buzzer.

well, i think that it's time for bed now...
good night

eric - thanks for the link from your site...you da man!

i guess it's about time that i did get online on this whole world wide web thing.
i was kinda falling behind the jone's (or the joshi's for you brownies out there...)

check out tchao's website:
etch imaginations v3.0
woke up at 9:00 this morning. got 2 chapters of stats done so far...
now, it's on to advertising. i'll be back soon.

was watching the olympics just now during my break. man, downhill skiing freaks me out! they are going so fast, it's nuts. i am always so scared that they are gonna flip out and get hurt...damn, i'm a whip.

back to school work.

p.s. rachel is going to the library now and probably gonna stink it up...

Saturday, February 09, 2002

it's 11:55 pm. just watched the nba slam dunk contest and i must say...that was crap. what happened to the good old days with vince, kobe, j.r., michael, spud, nique, etc? now, it is just a bunch of crap. i am not in a very articulate mood right now so this message will be pretty useless.

i'll just sign off now. off to bed.
another full day of studying tomorrow.
i thik that this is working. i am at dp library right now - 7th floor and it's so much fun...
